Our Story

Our coffee is made in memory of our Founders mum, Jamila. When dementia changed her world, Mum found comfort in a doll she called Toto. Toto gave her companionship, purpose, and a way to continue caring because Mum never stopped being a parent.

Mum lived with dementia for 12 years and passed away peacefully in 2020. Her legacy lives on in Jamila’s Ethical Coffee, where a small switch helps provide space to breathe through the hardest moments.

Thank you for helping us carry her memory and everyone who is touched by dementia. We understand your journey and this is for you.
